With Acronimo Sotol Blanco

acronimo-sotol-blanco

INGREDIENTS

Preparation Time: 5 mins.

  • 1.5 oz (45 ml) Acrónimo Sotol Blanco

  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) Elderflower liqueur

  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) Fresh lime juice

  • 0.3 oz (9 ml) Agave syrup (1:1 agave to water)

  • 3 oz (90 ml) Chilled Prosecco (or dry sparkling wine)

  • Garnish: 2 lime wheels + sprig of rosemary

METHOD / ALCHEMY

  1. Infuse: Gently muddle lime wheels and rosemary in Sotol Blanco for 7 seconds to coax earthy-herbal aromas.

  2. Blend & Frost: Add elderflower, lime juice, agave syrup, and ice. Stir for 20 seconds until the mixing glass glazes over.

  3. Sparkle: Strain into a large wine glass over fresh ice. Slowly top with Prosecco, preserving the fine bead.

  4. Finish & Present: Rest a rosemary sprig on top and slide in one lime wheel. Serve with a stirring stick to let guests adjust brightness.

Tips

  • Herb Quality: Use fresh, fragrant rosemary—discard the woody bottom.

  • Ice Choice: One large cube or sphere chills without watering down too quickly.

  • Sotol Care: Let the Sotol Blanco breathe—open the bottle 10 minutes before mixing.

  • Sweetness Control: Agave adds floral sweetness; reduce by 25% if you prefer tart.

Variations

  • Citrus Trio: Combine lemon, lime, and grapefruit juices for complex zest.

  • Smoky Whisper: Rinse your glass with one drop mezcal before building the cocktail.

  • Seasonal Herb: Swap rosemary for thyme in autumn or mint in summer.

Pairings

Pepitas & Nuts: Spiced pepitas or Marcona almonds.

Tacos: Grilled fish or shrimp tacos with lime crema.

Queso: Queso panela drizzled with guajillo‑lime oil.

Light Bites: Cucumber‑melon skewers or ceviche tostadas.

Closing Note

Our Sotol Blanco A. Spritz captures the wild Chihuahuan spirit: earthy, bright, and endlessly refreshing. Salud to desert‑fresh innovation!
